Flooded England: Your pictures

BBC News website readers have been sending in their pictures of flooding in England. Win Gandy lives in Thropton in Northumberland but is safe from floods for the time being as she lives on a hillside.

A community police officer carries a woman to and from her house in Stafford on Sunday, to collect some belongings. Jill Forrest, who took the photo, says the road is expected to be closed for a week.

Areas of Polesworth village in Warwickshire were flooded by the rainfall. Juliet Davies sent in this picture of three girls navigating the water.

No car boot sale this week at the rugby club car park in Blaydon-on-Tyne, Newcastle. Rain was still pouring when Mike Reevell took this photo at 6pm on Sunday.

Naomi Middleton lives in Gosforth, Newcastle. The river runs at the back of her house and the rising waters meant that the bottom of her garden was underwater on Saturday.

Aidan Hutchinson caught this image of the flooded river Ouse in York from Bridge street. The water level was still high on Saturday afternoon.

John and Ruth Laws took this photo while walking around Morpeth, Northumberland. Some areas of the town have been particularly hard hit by the floods.

John and Ruth were upset by the sight of ruined flowers as Morpeth was a finalist for the annual Britain in Bloom competition.

Sean Burns photographed this scene in Selly Oak in Birmingham on Saturday afternoon. The area near the job centre was submerged by flood water.

Richard O'Connor took this picture of a small bridge swept away by flood waters in Shotley Bridge, Co Durham. Richard says he has seen plenty of other flood damage in the area.
