Flooded England: Your pictures

BBC News website readers have been sending in their pictures of flooding in England. Win Gandy lives in Thropton in Northumberland but is safe from floods for the time being as she lives on a hillside.

A community police officer carries a woman to and from her house in Stafford on Sunday, to collect some belongings. Jill Forrest, who took the photo, says the road is expected to be closed for a week.

No car boot sale this week at the rugby club car park in Blaydon-on-Tyne, Newcastle. Rain was still pouring when Mike Reevell took this photo at 6pm on Sunday.

Naomi Middleton lives in Gosforth, Newcastle. The river runs at the back of her house and the rising waters meant that the bottom of her garden was underwater on Saturday.

John and Ruth Laws took this photo while walking around Morpeth, Northumberland. Some areas of the town have been particularly hard hit by the floods.
